Comparisons
We wrote the part where you shouldn't buy from us.
Every page below says where the alternative is genuinely stronger. You'll find that out during a proof of concept anyway, and a comparison that only flatters the vendor who wrote it is worth nothing to the person reading it.
Securive vs Veeam
The most widely deployed VM backup product, licensed per workload and usually run on infrastructure you own.
If your estate is VMs and you have staff to run backup infrastructure, Veeam is hard to beat. If you're also protecting Microsoft 365, databases and physical servers — and nobody owns the backup server — the consolidation is worth more than the engine.
Read the comparisonSecurive vs Acronis
A broad cyber-protection suite sold largely through MSPs, bundling backup with security tooling.
Choose Acronis if consolidating security and backup into a single MSP vendor is the goal. Choose Securive if backup, replication and provable recovery are the goal and your security stack is already settled.
Read the comparisonSecurive vs Veritas NetBackup
Enterprise backup with very broad platform coverage, typically deployed and operated by a dedicated team.
If your estate includes mainframe, legacy UNIX or long-tail enterprise platforms, NetBackup's coverage is the deciding factor and nothing here changes that. If your estate is virtualised, cloud and Microsoft 365, you're carrying weight you no longer need.
Read the comparisonSecurive vs Rubrik
A modern data-security platform combining backup with threat detection and recovery orchestration.
Rubrik is built for large enterprises that want data security analytics along with recovery, and priced accordingly. Securive is built for mid-market IT teams, MSPs and hosting providers who want the same recovery guarantees without an enterprise procurement cycle.

Cron, vendor CLI tools and a bucket — the setup a competent engineer builds in a weekend.
DIY is right when the estate is small, one person owns it, and you actually test restores. It stops being right the moment the person who wrote it isn't the person on call.
Read the comparisonSecurive vs WSUS
Windows Server Update Services — Microsoft's own free update distribution role, installed on a Windows server and driven by Group Policy.
If you have a small, stable, on-premises estate and somebody who enjoys WSUS, keep it. If you need to answer “which machines are unpatched, and which have we simply not heard from” — for an auditor, a client or an insurer — that is the question WSUS is worst at and this is built around.

Connect one hypervisor, set one policy, and let a scheduled drill try to bring it back. If it doesn't, you'll know in a day rather than during an incident.
