Comparison
Securive vs Rubrik
Rubrik and Securive agree on the core argument: backup is a security control, a backup a intruder can delete is not one, and an untested restore is a guess. Where we differ is scale, scope and how much of the price you can see before you talk to someone.
The short version
Rubrik is built for large enterprises that want data security analytics along with recovery, and priced accordingly. Securive is built for mid-market IT teams, MSPs and hosting providers who want the same recovery guarantees without an enterprise procurement cycle.
Which one
Pick the right one, even if it isn't us.
Choose Securive if…
- You want published pricing and a self-serve trial rather than an evaluation process.
- Your estate is tens to low hundreds of workloads, not thousands.
- You're a service provider and need per-tenant isolation, white label and billing.
- You want the recovery guarantees without the platform's analytics surface — and without paying for it.
Choose Rubrik if…
- You want data classification, sensitive-data discovery and threat hunting inside the backup platform.
- You operate at a scale where a dedicated data-security platform is justified.
- You have enterprise procurement, and a named vendor with analyst coverage matters to your process.

Questions
The things people ask before they switch
No. If finding regulated data inside backups is a requirement, that's a real reason to choose Rubrik and we won't pretend otherwise.
No, and it's the one place we refuse to differentiate by tier. Versioned storage and the separated delete permission run on the $49 plan for the same reason they do on Enterprise: a ransomware-resistant backup that costs extra isn't a security posture, it's an upsell. We don't use S3 object lock — it cannot coexist with a deduplicating chunk store, and claiming it while running one would be a lie.
